So inquisitive can the gaze of a griffon vulture be.
Buseu, in the region of Lleida, Lower Pyrenees, Spain. Griffon vultures and bearded vultures share the same territory without competing. The latter devour the bare bones left behind by the former. Each photograph can be enlarged on screen.

I was for a few days in Heidelberg, Germany, so I made a short visit to the zoo. A little but a very pretty one. Here are some of the portraits made there.
